NO KILL LEHIGH VALLEY

No animal should die just because it's homeless.

"
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world.  Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

Our Goal:  We will work towards the creation of a No Kill community by advocating for policies and programs that will end the killing of adoptable and treatable animals in the Lehigh Valley by 2010.  The purpose of this website is to inform the public and to hold accountable those entrusted with the care of homeless animals in our community.

This website is a work in progress - much like the kitten below.  We are working hard to get all of the features up and running, but not all are ready at this moment.  Please be patient.  And we welcome your comments and ideas which you can post to our guest book located on our www.webspawner.com/users/nklv section.

.
On our www.webspawner.com/users/nklv link
we will be adding  a page on bunnies and other small furries.  Stay tuned - and tell your friends!

The No Kill movement has made dramatic changes in the way sheltering is conducted in America.  Innovative programs and progressive policies are saving thousands of companion animals from wholesale slaughter.  (For examples see www.bestfriends.org and www.nokilladvocacycenter.org).  The Lehigh Valley has all the resources we need to make it happen here.  Unfortunately, there has been no organized effort to direct these resources - until now.  We believe that those of us who agree that the life of every companion animal is worth saving must guide the process of change to protect their lives and ensure that they have every opportunity to find a loving permanent home
